Despite The Rhetoric, Trump's Children Were Never Democrats | Eastern North Carolina Now

It's common for mainstream news outlets to release half-truths, but social-justice warriors online, in the dark halls of social media, take it one step further. These Liberal trolls actually create their own false talking-points and spread them like wildfire. The result is thousands of stories that get circulated but that are factually flawed, to put it lightly.

One of the stories that haven't been heavily covered on cable news networks involves Donald Trump's children being registered Democrats.

It's probable that this story began back in April of this year (2016) when stories began circulating mainstream airways concerning some of Trump's children being unable to vote for him during the New York primary because rules demand that primary voters be either registered Democrats or Republicans, or registered to the party of the candidate for whom they intend to vote. As usual, internet trolls and professional agitators twist and distort the facts and then spread the disinformation without the slightest bit of research of validation.

There are some topics that I believe warrant considerable amounts of content; long articles, going in-depth, through every twist and turn of every rabbit-hole. I'm only addressing this particular topic because I've noticed it being thrown around by mindless, voting-aged men and women online. I feel a responsibility to address the issue, right the wrong, and then move on. This is not a topic that I believe deserves an in-depth examination. Therefore, I'll make the case and then leave it at that.

Back in April, The Daily Beast posted an article titled "Trump's Closest Confidants Can't Vote for Him...Because They're Still Democrats"

In the article, Gideon Resnick brought up the fact that quite a few people close to Trump would be unable to vote for him in the New York primaries. Of course, the majority of people on the list aren't even Democrats, but Resnick still goes with that title. I guess that's just the type of editor he is.

    Among those listed were:

Michael Cohen - Trump attorney and registered Democrat.

Alan Garten - Executive VP & General Counsel at Trump Organization and registered Democrat.

Daniel Scavino Jr. - Handles Social Media for the Trump Organization and registered Independent.

Sean Hannity - Radio and Television show host and registered Conservative. (I'm not sure why he was listed. Apparently Resnick considered Hannity to be one of Trump's "closest confidants.)"

Jesse Watters - Registered Conservative. (And again, not sure why Watters is listed.)

The final two people listed in Resnick's article were Eric and Ivanka Trump. They're both registered Independents, and they both missed the deadline in New York to register, which is at least 25 days before the close of the primary.

The internet trolls ignore this truth, however, and throw all of these people together as registered Democrats. The slightest bit of research reveals the truth, but that's not their M.O.

There is no source that lists any of Trump's children as registered Democrats. This story has been taken out of context and used to push yet another false narrative. The goal is to paint Donald Trump as an infiltrator, a spy, a con-artist.

The truth is much more innocent. But the Clinton administration doesn't run on innocent truth. That's why they hire professional agitators to riot in the streets and go online and spread disinformation. And at the risk of name-dropping I'll say this: you can bet your bottom dollar that George Soros is involved in the funding of this evil tactic as well.

However, for the Democrat media, it has long made for good Democrat press.

Stan, I had written another overly long article on politicians vs business leaders but decided no one cared what the Old Rooster thought. However, in true BT tradition, I have reversed my decision and put the article in the queue once again proving that I have no shame in self-promotion of my ideas. I am sure you can add some perspective on how swimming upstream is not for the faint of heart when the current is strong in the other direction. Here is the premise of the article.

A politician who wants to survive must surf the waves of the voting public's opinion or at the very least of his voting constituency. We must remember that the practice of politicians is the art of winning. In that respect, it is not much different from the practice of business. The main difference may be in the way we judge the results of each. Everyone seems to disdain the politician for having a nuanced stance on the issue and wish for the plain spoken tell it like it is era of Harry Truman. Then along comes a 2016 "Truman Stylist candidate" and immediately a whole cadre of people are offended and angry about the presentation rather than the underlying basis of Donald's pontificates.

Here is a link to that article.

Great post Russell.

There is so much negative misinformation surrounding Trump, with much of it being the man's own fault for simply not being a seasoned politician.

As someone who has been a politician, I well understand that perspective is often more important than reality, especially considering how many Americans really don't understand much about our Republic, many are ill informed, possess a poor base of knowledge, and well resemble sheep being led to the slaughter.

Lying Hillary is that "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing".
