We are a Representative Government; Act like It | Eastern North Carolina Now

Now that you are meeting Governor Mike Pence, you must admit that you do have a real choice for president ... and, or the future president.

Indiana Governor and Vice President nominee Mike Pence
It is a well established fait accompli that the formally venerable FBI has been totally corrupted by the corrupt Loretta Lynch justice department, as evidence from this very expensive investigation (taxpayer funded) into the certain criminality of Lying Hillary Clinton is now being destroyed to cover everyone's tracks - those investigated and those doing the investigating.

Director Comey's reputation is forever besmirched, as is the utterly dishonest Loretta Lynch (DOJ AG) and, sadly, from all accounts, he had much further to fall than the first women ever appointed to head the Department of Justice.

This is what happens when you vote into high office liars and fools who have the constitutional power to appoint, and there has been no greater liar, no greater fool that Hussein Obama, and if Lying Hillary is elected, she may even surpass that Fool President Hussein.

We are a representative government, and you are your government. You are part of its success, or part of its destruction, and are a quite a bit tainted by your selection of a known fool, Lying Barry Obama.

While deceitful Hussein will always be a liar and a fool, you, as a voter, can drop that status by not voting for a proved felon, a proved liar in Lying Hillary.

If you can't make yourself vote for Businessman Trump, vote for Governor Mike Pence, who is a wise leader, a good man, with a sterling reputation.

If you can't vote for Mike Pence because you are so liberal you could never vote for a professed Conservative and a Christian: Do your nation a favor, and don't vote for the office of president.

I remind you once again, the United States is not a Democracy, it is a Republic; we are a representative government. If you vote for a proved liar, a proved felon: What does that make you?

Choose wisely. The future of your nation is at stake.

Considering that Hillary Clinton, from the recently concluded email investigation, is charged with gross negligence, dereliction of duty, was recommended that she lose her security clearance, while pathologically lying to congress, the press and the American People; and even though she was not referred for indictment because she is a Clinton: Will you?
12.84%   Vote for Hillary
76.65%   Vote for The Donald
10.51%   Vote for none of the above

What should be the priority of the Federal Government after the "Pulse" massacre: Should we turn our attention toward destroying, earadicating ISIS as Candidate Trump suggests, or, as Democrats' President Obama suggests, broaden our efforts to effect stricter Gun Control laws to limit "Gun Violence?"
83.78%   After many years of trying to degrade and contain the murderous ISIS, we should make it the nation's policy to destroy ISIS immediately.
6.08%   Gun Violence in America can be eliminated by limiting access to guns for all American citizens.
10.14%   I don't care either way; I just live here.

Should Americans be thankful for North Carolinians setting precedent in taking a stand for their state's right to manage the safety of their public facilities, where separation of the sexes remains, or should they follow Bruce Springsteen's lead and boycott the state as bigots since they will not allow grown Transgender men to use the same bathrooms /locker rooms as pre-pubescent girls?
North Carolina is right to control the separation of the sexes as a matter of decorum and safety.
North Carolina is a bigoted state to not require that children of opposite sexes share the same public facilities with adults of the opposite sex, although misidentified - the Transgender.
I generally prefer the natural environs of the vacant, although rather public, large tree.

It is in the queue now with a minor update based on the recent release of DT's "not off the record" comments on women. We are in the home stretch now with both leaders muddling it out in the slop.

Bring it out of the discard B.T. It is very topical now, with the Trump tape running on the Clinton News Network (CNN).

Thank God Trump has Mike Pence on the ticket.

Stan, I have an article in the discard stack about character revealed. It discussed how a former politician acts after they are no longer in the hunt that their true character is revealed. My judgement of Character used to be my first gateway in selecting a candidate, but that has been somewhat diluted recently.
Example number one of character post public office : Al Gore

Well considered comment here B.T., but I would counter that, while not perfect (who is?), there are some outstanding Republican politicians as governors, as congress people.

The People are just getting to know Mike Pence and he is making an impact. I am a political observer, so I knew Pence, just as I also know: Jeff Sessons, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Jim Jordan, Trey Gowdy, and yes, I break with some Conservatives, Speaker Paul Ryan.

Well said.

I am not sure when I lost confidence in my government to tell me the truth. I'm not talking about shading the truth a bit, but outright lying for political purposes. I always knew that certain things had to be kept secret for national security or sensitive negotiations. That is reality. I was never naive enough to think they did not fudge things from time to time.

I am not a conspiracy nut. But when citizens lose overall faith and trust in their government and its institutions we are destined for disillusionment. Most reasonable people can accept that we must keep certain secrets. However, when we erode the fundamental trust a citizenry has for its government we create a vacuum. Donald Trump did not create this vacuum; he merely stepped forward when it was clear we could no longer trust our representatives: Democrat or Republican. The system can no longer sustain itself because of the people we allowed to run it.

“Sometimes it is said that man cannot be trusted with the government of himself. Can he, then, be trusted with the government of others? Or have we found angels in the form of kings to govern him? Let history answer this question.” ― Thomas Jefferson
