    Mrs. Estella Louise "Stella" Cratch Stancill, age 66, a resident of 4221 Market Street Ext., Washington, died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at her home.

    Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 5, 2017 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, conducted by Eddie Bowen. Burial will be private.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington and other times at her home.

    Mrs. Stancill was born in Beaufort County on November 27, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Durwood Cratch and Virginia Bernice Stamper Cratch. Mrs. Stancill was a retired registered nurse with Beaufort County Hospital (now Vidant Beaufort Hospital). She was a past member of the First Christian Church in Washington and the CWF Group 5. Mrs. Stancill was a current member of the Old Ford Church of Christ. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting and reading.

    On April 12, 1997, she married William "Billy" Stancill, who preceded her in death, July 11, 2012.

    Mrs. Stancill is survived by a daughter, Betsy Boyd and husband, Allen of Washington; two sons, Jerry Davis and wife, Brittany of Washington, Patrick Davis and wife, Amy of Grimesland; two sisters, Carrie Brown of Washington, Andria Gooch and husband, Ernest of Washington; six grandchildren, Blake Alexander Davis, Madison Grace Davis, Reagan Marie Davis, Amber Marie Jarman, Dusty Jarman, and Charli Boyd; two great grandchildren, Aubree Grace Stancill and Alex Woolard and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved so much.

    In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Stancill was preceded in death by a step daughter, Maria Duke; and three brothers, Durwood Cratch, Harvey Cratch and Swindell Cratch.

    Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to Old Ford Church of Christ, 6040 U.S. Highway 17 North, Washington, N.C. 27889.
