    Mrs. Retha Adams Price, age 78, of Jacksonville, NC and recently of Belhaven passed away Tuesday August 8, 2017 at the home with her family.

    Retha was born in Washington County on July 21, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Dan and Mary Jackson Adams. Retha was raised in Pinetown and Belhaven where she graduated with the Class of 1957 from John A. Wilkinson High School. Retha then moved to the Big Town of Jacksonville, NC where she was employed and retired with 37 years of experience from the Carolina Telephone Company.

    On September 25, 1993, she married Donald Price who preceded her in death on March 6, 2017 after 23 years of marriage. In addition to her parents Retha was preceded in death by her two brothers, James Ray Adams of Winston Salem and Daniel Gray Adams of Washington, NC.

    Retha is survived by her beloved sister and faithful care giver, Lou Adams Skinner of Belhaven, niece, Angie (Dewayne) Creech of Pantego, NC, nephews, Clifton (Phyllis) Skinner of Belhaven and Eric Skinner of Raleigh, NC and many more nieces and nephews.

    A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday August 10, 2017 at Belhaven Community Cemetery and will be officiated by Ray Williams and Carl Ezelle.

    The family will receive friends at the home of Lou Skinner, 417 East Pungo Street, Belhaven, NC.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The First Assembly of God Church, US 264 Bypass, Belhaven, NC 27810.

    The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kindred at Home Healthcare and In Home Hospice for their faithful, compassionate help.

    Kristy, Jenny, Tony, Brandy, Amy, Beth, Linda, Kathy, Robin, and Mr. Darrell you were a joy and a blessing to Retha and also to us. Thank you all and may God bless you.
