State Child Fatality Task Force searches for ways to save lives



    The N.C. Child Fatality Task Force brings experts together to explore opioid abuse, suicide, premature birth, and other factors that kill children in the state. The task force makes recommendations for changes in state law to help reduce the number of child deaths.

    Task force executive director Kella Hatcher discussed the group’s work during a presentation Monday to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society.
