    Mrs. Libby Singleton Moore, age 80, a resident of 4197 U.S. Highway 17 North, Washington, died Friday, February 16, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

    Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Old Ford Church of Christ, 6040 U.S. Highway 17 North, Washington, conducted by Eddie Bowen and Thomas Hamilton. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.

    The following will serve as pallbearers: Mac Hodges, Joseph Lilley, Jake Lilley, Greg Singleton, Sam Singleton, Ray David Moore, Bryan Douglas and Michael Douglas.

    Mrs. Moore was born in Beaufort County on September 21, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Sam Harvey "Jake" Singleton, Sr. and Burlie Woolard Singleton. Mrs. Moore was a graduate of Washington High School. She worked in the banking industry for over 50 years. Mrs. Moore began working as a bookkeeper at the Bank of Washington, which became NCNB and later Bank of America. She retired as branch manager at First South Bank in February 2006.

    She was a member of the Old Ford Church of Christ, the Women's Sunday School Class and Circle # 3. Mrs. Moore was also a member of the Old Ford VFD Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society.

    On October 31, 1958, she married William Rochelle Moore, who preceded her in death, July 4, 1999.

    Survivors include her son, William Arthur "Billy" Moore and his wife, Moriah of Washington; three grandchildren, William A. "Little Billy" Moore II, Amber Rose Moore and Rochelle Elizabeth Moore all of Washington and sister-in-law, Willie Esther "Bill" Douglas of Washington.

    In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by a daughter, Densie Kay "Cookie" Moore; brother, Sam H. Singleton, Jr. and sisters, Catherine Singleton Hodges and Laura Singleton Lilley.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Old Ford Church of Christ Fellowship Hall and other times at her home.
