Martin Center president probes 30-year anniversary of Bennett hypothesis



    Three decades have passed since then-U.S. Education Secretary William Bennett hypothesized that federal loans were helping drive up college tuition costs.

    President Jenna Robinson of the James G. Martin Center for Academic Renewal has researched how well that hypothesis has played out during the past 30 years. Robinson shared the results during a presentation Monday for the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society.
