Experts assess N.C. judicial selection process



    Lawmakers have been debating whether to change North Carolina’s current system of partisan elections for state judges. Some prefer nonpartisan elections. Others want to scrap elections for some sort of appointment system.

    The John Locke Foundation and Western Carolina University’s Center for the Study of Free Enterprise hosted a panel discussion on the topic Monday at the Campbell Law School in Raleigh.
