Born: April 18, 1934, Died: June 9, 2018

    Mrs. Mildred "Jane" Davis Adams, age 84 of Pantego, N.C., passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Union Grove Church of Christ, Highway 99 North, Pantego. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the church, conducted by Scott Askew, Ethan Coltrain, and Rupert Wallace. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery.

    The following will serve as pallbearers: Adam Boyd, Jeremy Boyd, Greg Sawyer, R. A. Phillips, Wayne Black and Shelton Cooper. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Cook, Burt and Tootsie Ange, Martha Allen, Billy Allen, Norman Allen, Walter Harris and Timmy Tetterton.

    Mrs. Adams was born in Beaufort County on April 18, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Henry Carma Davis and Mollie Allen Davis. She was a 1952 graduate of Pantego High School. On July 4, 1954, she married the love of her life Joseph Robert Adams (Bob). Jane was a homemaker who spent her days caring for her family and others in the community. She was a devoted member of Union Grove Church of Christ in Pantego.

    Survivors include her husband, Bob; a son, Joseph Robert Adams, Jr. and his wife, Bea of Newport News, VA; a daughter, Robin Boyd and her husband, Ricky of Pantego. Jane is also survived by four grandchildren, Adam Boyd and wife, Samara, Jeremy Boyd and wife, Pam, Kristin Sawyer and husband, Greg and Meagan Adams. Her seven great grandchildren were her pride and joy.

    Jane also has a sister surviving, Martha Howard and husband, Bill of Matthews, N.C.

    Jane was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
