    Another new face is entering the Republican Primary for County Commissioner. Gary Brinn of Washington said, "I'm running for Beaufort County Commissioner to fight for lower taxes and fewer restrictions on our businesses and citizens in Beaufort County. I am a Conservative Republican and while I will invite and promote new businesses into Beaufort County I also want to ensure old businesses stay in Beaufort County by creating a business friendly environment for new and existing businesses. As a native of Beaufort County I want to ensure that future generations will be able to live and prosper here. It's time to Stop the Nonsense."

    "I will also push to instruct the Beaufort County Sheriff's Department to stop, arrest, detain and move to deport anyone breaking the law in Beaufort County or seeking services in Beaufort County without proper documentation."

    Born in Beaufort County, Brinn attended Bath School, Princess Ann High School in Virginia Beach and Roanoke Bible College. He is married to Kay Jordan and the couple have two adult children, Crystal and Sam. Brinn owns and operates a small business, is a Past President of the Washington Optimist Club and is currently on the Board of Directors of The Washington Yacht and Country Club. He looks forward to bringing his business and civic experience to the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners.
