Mrs. Marion Clarissa Leggett Hall, 82, a resident of 310 Warren Place, Washington, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at her home.

   Mrs. Marion Clarissa Leggett Hall, 82, a resident of 310 Warren Place, Washington, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at her home.

   Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, conducted by Pastor Danny Barrow.

   Mrs. Hall’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Christopher Stebbins, Tyler Shorey, James Hall Jr., Robert Hall Jr., Shawn Hall and Gavin Stebbins. Her great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

   Mrs. Hall was born in Beaufort County on Aug. 17, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Marshal Wayne Leggett and Kathleen Clark Leggett. Mrs. Hall was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Hall loved to cook and take care of everybody.

   She was married to Robert James Hall, who preceded her in death.

   Mrs. Hall is survived by her sons, James Lee Hall Sr. of Washington, Robert Steven Hall Sr. and wife Tammy of Groton, Mass.; her daughters, Brenda Hall Stebbins and husband Joseph of Lunenburg, Mass., Nancy Cathrine Willets and husband Jay of Ayer, Mass., Lynn Hall Sawyer and husband Jonathan of Pantego; her brothers, Thad Leggett of Washington, Wayne Leggett of Raleigh and Cecil Leggett of Bath; her sister, Geraldine Leggett Dixon of Washington; 12 grandchildren, James Lee Hall Jr., Corey Lee Hall, Angela Marie Hall-Damon, Robert Steven Hall Jr., Shawn David Hall, Christopher Michael Stebbins, Misty Ann Stebbins, Tyler James Shorey, Danielle Clarissa Shorey, Kaitlyn Lee Willets, Kelley Elizabeth Willets, Lucas Austin Willets and 19 great-grandchildren.

   In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by a son, Joseph David Hall. and a sister, Julia Leggett Gill.

   Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, 1209 Brown St., Washington, N.C. 27889.

   The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
