    William Russell "Rusty" Jackson, Jr., age 47, a resident of Washington, NC, died Friday June 28, 2019.

    A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday July 1, 2019 at First Church of Christ and will be officiated by Mark Lilley. Members of Bunyan Fire Department will serve as pallbearers.

    Mr. Jackson was born in Beaufort County on August 20, 1971 to the late William Russell Jackson, Sr. and Frances Edward Jackson. On September 2, 2000, he married Wendi Allison Lines who survives. He was a member of First Church of Christ. Mr. Jackson served his community in the Bunyan Fire Department for over 30 years. He enjoyed cooking, cleaning, mowing grass and spending time with his children.

    Survivors include his wife, Wendi L. Jackson, four children, Brittany Hazel, Kaylee Jackson Hardee and husband Chad, William Tucker Jackson, Miller Allen Jackson, a sister, Connie Keech, lifelong best friend, David Keech, wife Kathy, and their son Cameron.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday June 30, 2019 in the Family Life Center of First Church of Christ.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Bunyan Fire Department, 8264 Broad Creek Road, Washington, NC 27889.
