NCGOP Chairman Michael Whatley Welcomes President Trump To NC

Greenville, NC     North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Michael Whatley welcomed President Donald Trump to North Carolina for his 26th rally in the state, the 2nd in Greenville.

"I am incredibly excited to welcome President Trump back to North Carolina," stated Whatley. "President Trump has kept his promises to unleash the American economy, rebuild the military and promote an America First Agenda - all of which are helping the North Carolina economy thrive."

In just over two years, North Carolina has benefitted tremendously from the policies the President has helped usher through Congress. The average taxpayer is taking home an extra $1300, more than 175,000 jobs have been added, and the unemployment rate has decreased nearly a full point. In contrast, the various platforms of Democrats running for President in 2020 threaten to reverse the progress the nation has made over the past 2.5 years. The socialist Medicare For All policy pushed by Sen. Bernie Sanders and endorsed by the North Carolina Democrat Party would kick more than 200 million people off of their private health insurance plans, more than 5 million in North Carolina alone. The Green New Deal, also endorsed by the NCDP and championed by democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, would cost $32 trillion and place a $600,000 burden on every household in North Carolina. The Democrats continue to embrace their far-left flank as they move toward open borders and extreme policies on late-term abortion.

"The contrast couldn't be clearer: this election is about socialism versus economic freedom; about promises made and promises kept," continued Whatley. "Voters will have a clear choice in November 2020 and we look forward to re-electing President Trump."
