    After a noble and gallant life, Mr. Earl Maynard Warren entered his heavenly home Monday, April 13, 2020.

    A private graveside service will 2:00 PM Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Oakdale Cemetery, conducted by Kent Gurganus.

    Mr. Warren's grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Brant Harris, Tres Harris, Kyle Guerrero, Christian Guerrero, Brandon Hall and Will Thompson.

    Mr. Warren was born in Bertie County on March 15, 1935. He was the son of the late Willie Hyman Warren and Ruth Arlean White Warren. Mr. Warren graduated from Bertie High School as Valedictorian. He served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic. Over the years, Mr. Warren worked as a farmer, at Moore Meat Company, the N.C. State Highway Department, and UPS. He retired from Texasgulf with over 28 years of service. He was a member of the Old Ford Church of Christ and the Old Ford Ruritan Club.

    Mr. Warren enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was younger. He loved county music and watching his martins. Being a "Diehard Ford Man", Mr. Warren loved NASCAR. He enjoyed watching old westerns and "Judge Judy" on TV. After his retirement, Mr. Warren helped his neighbors by working on their lawn mowers.

    On June 30, 1958, Mr. Warren married the former Glynda Haddock, who survives.

    Surviving with his wife are his daughters, Darlene Michele Warren Rhem of Williamston, Delores Warren Hall and husband, Roy of Holly Springs, N.C., Connie Warren Noles and husband, Mike of Lake Phelps; ten grandchildren, Brant Harris and wife, Sydney of Wake Forest, Jenny Thompson and husband, Will of Elizabeth City, Tres Harris of Elizabeth City, Kyle Guerrero and Christian Guerrero both of Williamston, Brandon Hall and Dana Hall both of Holly Springs, Matt Noles and wife, Lindsay of Lake Phelps, Stephanie Noles of Greenville; Hayley Noles of Lake Phelps; six great grandchildren, Ryan Harris, Lyla and Brynn Thompson, Wesley and Ellie Noles, Zane Noles; brother, Speedy Hyman Warren and wife, Patricia of London KY; sister, Merle Early and husband, Shane of Virginia Beach, Va. and two special friends, Jeff Edwards and Ray Gunn.

    In addition to his parents, Mr. Warren was preceded in death by a brother, William Randolph Warren.

    Due to the Coronavirus restrictions, the family will receive friends at his home while practicing social distancing. There will be a register book at the funeral home for visitors to sign. Flowers and cards are appreciated.
