North Carolina Right to Life PAC Endorses E.C. Sykes for Secretary of State

Press Release:

Raleigh, NC     Today, North Carolina Right to Life PAC announced their endorsement of E.C. Sykes for North Carolina Secretary of State.

"E.C. supports protecting unborn children from abortion, in particular from the gruesome dismemberment abortion procedures and from the abortion of pain-capable unborn children. We know his pro-life views will undergird his decisions as Secretary of State. His opponent, Elaine Marshall, is endorsed by Lillian's List, Emily's List, and Planned Parenthood Votes! South Atlantic, which only support candidates that support abortion on demand," said Barbara Holt, PAC Director for North Carolina Right to Life, Inc. "The pro-life citizens of North Carolina will have E.C. as a strong pro-life advocate and should support E.C. with their votes on November 3rd by voting for him as Secretary of State and urging their like-minded family and friends to do the same. We wish him much success in his efforts to become our next pro-life member of the North Carolina Council of State."

"I'm honored to have the support of N.C. Right to Life. I look forward to working with them and continuing the progress of the pro-life agenda-the lives of future North Carolinians depend on it. N.C. Right to Life has been at the forefront of protecting the lives of the unborn, battling against elected officials like Elaine Marshall, who is supported by several pro-abortion groups," said Sykes. "When N.C. Right to Life and I were in DC at the Right to Life Rally, Elaine Marshall was in Chapel Hill with Planned Parenthood receiving their Lifetime Champion of Choice Award. It is sickening and doesn't represent the biblical or N.C. values I was raised with or those shared by most North Carolinians."

Elaine Marshall's extreme left-wing ideology is clear based on the groups that support her. She has received awards, endorsements, and funding from Planned Parenthood since early in her 24-year career in office. They awarded her the Lifetime Champion of Choice Award for her dedicated and distinguished leadership on behalf of Planned Parenthood. Her campaign also received funding from Emily's Life, whose mission is to, "ignite change by getting pro-choice Democratic women elected to office." She has also been endorsed by Lillian's List and Equality NC.

As a dedicated Christian conservative, E.C. Sykes has a long history of being involved in the pro-life movement. Today, both E.C. and his wife, Susan, are involved with North Carolina Right to Life, Save the Storks, Chloe's Foundation, and several other pro-life organizations. His campaign has been endorsed by Dr. James Dobson, Family Research Council (FRC), N.C. Values, Susan B. Anthony, and others who are fighting for the sanctity of life.

Every day, Elaine Marshall proves she is more out of touch and misaligned with the North Carolinians she claims to represent. It becomes clearer every day that North Carolina families want to be represented by a Secretary of State that shares their values, not the radical Left's.
