The Inequity of the UN | Eastern North Carolina Now

    The United States contributes more than any other nation to the budget of the UN, and yet we get less respect and cooperation than any other member nation. The US contributes 21.7% of the 15 billion dollar budget, but Russia who contributes only 1.6% and China with their 2.7% blocks us at every turn. The members are more in-line with Iran and North Korea than the United States.

    The UN building was built by the USA on land given to them by citizens of the USA. The laws of the UN on their little patch of dirt override our own federal, state, and local laws. Members of the UN are diplomats, so they are exempt from all our laws no matter where they commit their crimes. The extra security and lost revenue cost New York City millions every year. However, that isn't enough for them. They want more of our money, and they have found the perfect person to give it to them-President Obama. With the help of Hilary Clinton, treaties are being ratified to turn over to the UN the sovereignty of much of our heritage.

    INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT: Hilary Clinton wishes to create with this treaty the crime of aggression, which is essentially going to war without the approval of the UN. This treaty states that if we go to war without UN approval our presidents and Cabinet members could be prosecuted for going to war without UN approval. This would give Russia and China a veto power over all of our military operations.

    THE LAW OF THE SEA TREATY (LOST): This treaty will require that the USA will pay an international body half of our royalties from off shore drilling. The body could distribute the funds as it sees fit to any nation. The USA would only have one vote out of a 160 as to where the money goes. The treaty would also require that the US hand over all offshore drilling technology to any nation that wants it-free.

    SMALL ARMS CONTROL: Clinton has already signed this treaty to ban all small-arms sales and exports. This is a direct assault against the Second Amendment.

    OUTER SPACE CODE OF CONDUCT: This code would inhibit or prohibit the US from deploying anti-missile missiles on platforms in space, denying us the key weapon we need to counter Iran, Chinese, and North Korean missile threats.

    RIGHTS OF THE CHILD: The draft obliges rich nations to provide funds for shelter, food, clothing and education for children of poor nations. This could lead to legal challenges to the amount of foreign aid provided.

    CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (CRPD): When a child is born with disabilities they must immediately be registered, so the government would track them and their care. The government would make all decisions relating to the child's health, education, and food and shelter. The parents would have little say in the raising of their children. This would have a major impact on home schooling. This is just another way that the UN can control us.

    We have enough bureaucrats in Washington controlling our lives, so I certainly don't want another group of over paid and under worked foreign employees dictating what we can and cannot do. Why don't we tell the UN to go to China or Russia, since they seem to control the entire operation?
