    Mrs. Alice Faye Everett Waters, age 84, a resident of Pantego, NC died Wednesday August 18, 2021 at her home with family at her side.

    A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday August 20, 2021 at St. Clair's Church of Christ officiated by Craig Hagen and Bobby G. Waters, Jr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Waters' grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

    Mrs. Faye was born in Beaufort County on September 18, 1936, daughter of the late John Benjamin Everett and the late Molly Alice Waters Everett. She was a 1954 graduate of Bath High School. On June 25, 1954 she married Bobby Gene Waters, Sr. who preceded her in death on September 6, 2011. On June 30, 2012 she married Leroy Clayton "L.C." Waters, Jr. who survives. She was a farm wife who always had a hot meal at 12:00 noon. She worked in the cafeteria at the Bath school for numerous years after raising her children and helping them all get settled in their homes. She spent years sitting with the elderly. Mrs. Faye loved to travel and went on bus trips and cruises for a few years. She loved her family and her church families very much at St. Clair's Church of Christ and Free Union Free Will Baptist Church and they loved her! She loved her Lord and Savior and lived a humble, servant life, as Jesus demonstrated, and was always thinking of others.

    Survivors include her children: Bobby Gene Waters, Jr. (Jennifer) of Virginia Beach, VA, Victor Waters (Penny) of Bath, Kim Van Essendelft (Ted) of Pantego and Valinda Leggett of Washington; step children: Karen Gilbert of NJ, Katherine Waters of TX, Renee McAteer of FL, and Ryan Waters of FL; grandchildren: Bob Waters (Luciana), Jorge Waters, Melanie Waters, Jeremy Waters (Lindsay), Keith Waters (Kelly), Blake Waters, Ben Waters, Jillian Van Vuren (Austin), T.J. Van Essendelft (Jana), Quentin Van Essendelft, Brent Pilgreen (Angela) and Ryan Leggett; and eleven great grandchildren. Mrs. Faye was the last of the Everett sisters and was predeceased by Agnes Everett, Annie Mae Ambrose, Doris Canady, and Ethel Boyd; a brother: Vernon Everett; a son in law: Greg Leggett and a daughter: Melanie Hope Waters.

    The Waters family has been blessed the last few years with great caregivers, especially the last six months with Camilla and Lynette.
