On Sunday, Harvard student David Hogg, who became well-known as a teenager for his anti-gun rhetoric and subsequent leftist positions and somehow was offered a place at the prestigious institution over other applicants despite the fact that he reportedly scored 1270 on the SAT, resumed lecturing the public again, tweeting, "I walk to class every day passing people sleeping in the cold on the ground- outside an institution with over $53 billion, in a state that purports to be one of the most progressive in the country, In the richest country on the planet. Our issue isn't resources - it's priorities."

Former New York Mets/Philadelphia Phillies star Lenny Dykstra, apparently fed-up with Hogg's pontificating, fired back, "So let them sleep in your Harvard dorm room, dumbass."

In September 2020, Hogg, who co-founded the gun control advocacy group March For Our Lives, stated, "Young people can stage a nonviolent political revolution over the coming decade but it will require all of us voting in consistently high # EVERY election, protesting, organizing and running for office and most importantly the persistence, love and community to overcome setbacks. To do so we must all practice the humility, kindness and grace to be the political leaders we need to be in order to create such change."

"We must not fall for the slander espoused by those in power that says violence will solve our problems, they only say that so they can have an excuse to grow their authoritarianism. I have seen how violence and hate destroys lives and communities - it is not the answer," he continued. "The use of violence to acquire political power is deeply rooted in imperialism, capitalism and white supremacy[.] I personally refuse to believe that the use of this same violence will ever create nonviolent systems of government that represent and support everyone."

But later, after he was slammed by followers for not separating violent acts committed by white and non-white people, Hogg backtracked, saying:

This is directed specifically at the young white people I see arming themselves or wanting to so they can go and loot and act in antagonistic ways against the state trying to use allyship as a cover. Let me be clear what I am NOT trying to do is tell BIPOC people how they should react to violence directed at them by the state. It's not my place or any white persons to direct or criticize the way BIPOC people choose to defend themselves against this violence from the state.

After Hogg tried to found a pillow company, fellow March For Our Lives co-founder Cameron Kasky ripped him, writing that Hogg's anti-gun activism had evolved into a "pillow grift."

    The Daily Wire noted:

Cameron Kasky made the remarks on Twitter without directly using Hogg's name but it was clear who he was talking about. Kasky's tweet came as Hogg's new pillow company trended at the top of Twitter late on Tuesday after he tweeted about the company dozens of times. Hogg claimed he created his company to challenge Mike Lindell's MyPillow.

"To those of you who marched, donated, lobbied, and called for change... I'm so sorry this is what it turned into. This is embarrassing," Kasky wrote. "But, welcome to America, everything ends up a grift."
