"Clearly the most qualified candidate for the job of State Auditor"

Raleigh, NC: Debra Goldman, the Republican nominee for State Auditor and Wake County School Board Member, announced today that she has earned the endorsement of the North Carolina Trooper's Association.

"I am honored and humbled to have the support of our state troopers," Goldman said upon announcing the endorsement. "These brave men and women are highly-trained professionals who meet the highest standards of ethics and integrity while risking their lives every day to keep us safe. They want and deserve a State Auditor who will fight corruption in state government and will ensure that our entire state government is held accountable."

The North Carolina Troopers Association chose to make an endorsement in the race for State Auditor because they understand that is essential for our state to have an auditor "who has the drive and dedication to impartially investigate the hard issues that could save our great State millions of dollars in wasted money. The association based their endorsement on a thorough evaluation by their board of both candidates for State Auditor which lead them to the conclusion that Debra Goldman "is clearly the most qualified candidate for the job of State Auditor."

In their endorsement statement, Ron Crawford, president of the North Carolina Troopers' Association, praised Debra for her past service as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, her current service on the Wake County School Board, her understanding of the sacrifices that Troopers and all law enforcement make every day, and for her good conservative values. "Debra is a mother of three children who has good conservative values" Crawford wrote. "NCTA feels that these values are rooted strongly in her personality and will carry over to the office of State Auditor under her leadership."

Crawford concluded his endorsement by encouraging "all supporters of the North Carolina Troopers Association to support Debra Goldman by casting a vote for her on November 6th 2012."
