Press Release:

    Good afternoon,

Valentine's Day will cost you more this year because of skyrocketing inflation caused by Democrat politicians.

North Carolinians can thank Bidenflation for their Valentine's Day gift of higher prices on everything.

Last week, new data showed consumer prices skyrocketed 7.5 percent from last year because of Bidenflation. That was the biggest yearly spike in 40 years. In the South Atlantic Region that includes North Carolina, inflation spiked even more - rising by 7.9 percent over the same period.

Prices for Valentine's staples have spiked:

  • Roses up by 54 percent
  • Stationary, stationary supplies and gift wrap up by 8.4 percent
  • Jewelry up by 6.5 percent
  • Going out to eat up by 6.4 percent
  • Gasoline up by 40 percent
  • Steak up by 17.1 percent
  • Chicken up by 10.3 percent
  • Fresh fish up by 12.7 percent
  • Men's apparel up by 6.6 percent
  • Women's apparel up by 5.4 percent
  • Beer away from home up by 4.8 percent
  • Wine away from home up by 3.8 percent

Biden's supply chain crisis has also made Valentine's Day more costly. Last week, WTVD-Raleigh reported that North Carolina families are feeling "the pinch of soaring inflation."

North Carolina Democrats like Cheri Beasley have sat idly by as President Biden doubles down on the policies that caused this inflation in the first place. The rise in inflation won't stop until Biden is held accountable and it's clear that Beasley won't stand up to Biden's disastrous economic policies

"Skyrocketing inflation means North Carolinians celebrating Valentine's Day are paying higher prices for staples like flowers, cards, gifts, dinner and clothing. This surge in prices is all thanks to Biden and Democrats like Beasley who will rubber-stamp every out-of-control spending spree the Biden administration proposes." - RNC Spokeswoman Alex Nolley
