Press Release:

    Good afternoon,

Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) is celebrating North Carolina Poll Worker Recruitment Day by hosting a Protect the Ballot Workshop with the North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) in Catawba County. Already this cycle in North Carolina, the RNC has hosted 50 election integrity trainings with nearly 1,500 attendees.

Poll Worker Recruitment Day is a great opportunity to engage citizens who want to increase confidence in the election process by ensuring our elections are safe and secure. The RNC is making significant investments to ensure election integrity nationwide, including poll worker recruitment.

In addition to recruiting volunteer poll workers online and in-person, the RNC is also highlighting North Carolina Election Integrity volunteers across the state to encourage others to volunteer. One such volunteer is Onslow County Republican Party Chair Melinda Highers.

"I want our elections to be safe and secure, and the way to make sure that happens is by recruiting volunteers to work the polls on Election Day. It is one tangible way to contribute to our election system, and I encourage my fellow North Carolinians to step up and volunteer this midterm season."- Onslow County Republican Party Chair Melinda Highers
