    Charlotte     US Senate candidate and former Governor Pat McCrory (R-NC) issued the following statement today in response to recent pro-Putin and anti-Ukrainian statements by Congressmen Ted Budd & Madison Cawthorn:

    "While bombs are dropping on Ukrainian daycares and hospitals, Congressman Budd and Congressman Cawthorn praise and excuse Putin and degrade our Ukrainian allies. They both owe all North Carolinians, as well as all Ukrainians, a sincere apology."

If for no other reason we can make commentary of such and thus have an exhibit of what you and others know to be untrue relative to what is true.

I could never vote for McCrory in any Republican Primary because of the way he handled HB2.

I still find it difficult to believe that so many Republicans are completely out of touch with what is real, but one must now pay close attention to such.

I do understand going after your opponent, even misrepresenting issues - although, I would never do that, and have never done that through 7 general election campaigns, including the associative primaries.

What I don't get is McCrory attacking Madison Cawthorn, who has a fine Conservative spirit, and as far as I know is not an opponent of McCrory.

Ted Budd had my vote with the Trump endorsement, but with the Cawthorn attack, I will need some real motivation, other than McCrory being all we have to offer in the General Election, to mark that ballot R.
