Model Hailey Bieber, 25, Says She Suffered ‘Stroke Like Symptoms’, Blood Clot; Issues Statement | Eastern NC Now

    Hailey Bieber said this weekend that doctors told her she suffered a small blood clot to her brain.

    The young model posted about the incident to her Instagram stories, telling followers she began having "stroke like symptoms" while having breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber on Thursday morning and was rushed to the hospital.

    "On Thursday morning, I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke life symptoms," the 25-year-old posted to social media. "They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which causes a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours."

    "Although this was definitely one of the scariest moments I've ever been through, I'm home now and doing well, and I'm so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me!" she posted.

    "Thank you to everyone who has reached out with well wishes and concern, and for all the support and love," Bieber wrote.

    It's unclear what caused the medical emergency, or if Bieber has had any related health problems prior to the incident.

    The model has not appeared to have posted anything else related to her health since her Instagram story this weekend.

    Bieber, who's the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin and Kennya Baldwin, married her husband, superstar musician Justin Bieber, back in 2018. The young model is open about her Christian faith and has credited it for bringing about her marital union with Justin Bieber.

    "They ask me all the time, 'What would you say is, like, the biggest thing in your relationship? You guys are really happy," Bieber said on a podcast last year, The Daily Wire reported. "And I'm like, 'It's our faith.' It's what we believe in. If we didn't have that, we wouldn't even be here. We wouldn't even be together."

    "I've met Christian people that are just super judgmental and made me feel like I'm a bad person because I don't live my life the way they think I should live my life," she continued. "And I felt weird about posting certain photos of myself or feeling like, 'People in the church are gonna see this. Am I doing something wrong? Am I setting, like, a bad example?' And the reality is - no."

    Justin Bieber is open about his Christian faith, too.

    "I really took a deep dive in my faith," the musician said during an interview in 2020. "I believed in Jesus but I never really, like ... when it says following Jesus is actually turning away from sin, and so there's no, it talks about it in the Bible, there's no faith without obedience."
