Press Release:

Charlotte - As Congressman Budd gears up for his upcoming rally with Madison Cawthorn, there are several questions that he needs to answer before he campaigns with his fellow unelectable DC insider:

  • Does Budd agree with Cawthorn that Ukrainian President Zelensky is a "thug" and that the Ukrainian government is corrupt?
  • Does Budd agree with Cawthorn that there are members of Congress participating in orgies and doing cocaine? Has he ever witnessed the same activity?
  • Does Budd think Cawthorn's comments alleging this activity were appropriate in that it seems now that he has admitted to lying about it?
  • Does Budd agree with Cawthorn's policy proposal that senior citizens should be required to go back to work in order to receive Social Security benefits?
  • Does Budd agree with Cawthorn's policy proposal that veterans benefits should be cut?
  • Does Budd agree with Cawthorn's policy proposal to cut military and defense spending by onethird?
  • Does Budd think it was appropriate for Cawthorn to vote against banning Russian oil imports in recent weeks?
  • Does Budd think it was appropriate for Cawthorn to lie about his rejection from the Naval Academy?

It is clear that Congressman Budd is willing to abandon all hope of winning a general election in order to campaign with another unelectable DC insider like Madison Cawthorn. Given that, it is incumbent upon Congressman Budd to stop hiding from the media and answer their questions. Otherwise, the Budd-Cawthorn rally will solidify the similarities between the two and further prove that a Budd nomination would cost North Carolina Republicans this US Senate seat.

Gov. McCrory will be available for interviews prior to and following the Budd-Cawthorn rally. Contact us for available times.
