Clifford Lee Davis | Eastern NC Now

    Clifford Lee Davis of Pinetown, NC passed away surrounded by his family on May 11, 2022 at the age of 58.

    A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday May 15th at Bethany United Methodist Church, 2766 Savannah Rd. Belhaven, NC. Pastor Harry Smith will officiate.

    Cliff is survived by his beloved wife, Jamie Wilkins Davis, his son Dustin Davis (Christy), two daughters Morgan Perez and Lindsey Cumston (Brad), and four grandchildren, Dayton, Kellan, Avianna, and Eden.

    Cliff was born April 2, 1964 to David Tex Davis Sr. and Metta Selby Davis. He was the youngest son of six children. He is survived by two brothers David Davis (Rose) and Greg Davis, three sisters, Cindy Daw (Selby), Darlene Berry (Henry), and Denise Wilkinson (Charlie). Cliff was preceded in death by his father David Tex Davis, Sr., and survived by his mother Metta Davis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles.

    Cliff loved animals, and left behind by his three dogs; a blue heeler, Reesie, a red heeler, Zero, and his black lab, Molly Hatchet.

    Cliff was a devoted father and proud grandfather. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends. Cliff loved life and found joy in always having a good time, he was quick to bring a smile to a friend's face. Cliff enjoyed large crowds with friends and cooking out and he was convinced he has the best "barbeque griller" around. Cliff was a talented wood worker and loved to fish. He was a lay speaker and active member of his church, Bethany UMC. Cliff felt led to assist others and frequently helped to organize fundraisers and fish-frys for those in need. Cliff was a "jack of all trades" and dedicated his life to working with his hands, first as a commercial fisherman, painter, and finally owning his own construction business.

    Cliff will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is now in peace with his heavenly father.

    Prior to the service, family and friends will be received at visitation at 2:00pm at Bethany United Methodist Church.

    In lieu of flowers, donations are accepted for the Bethany UMC Youth Fund.
