Press Release:

Hendersonville - Sen. Chuck Edwards, the Republican Nominee for Congress in North Carolina's 11th District, announced today that he has accepted an invitation to participate in a general election debate hosted by WLOS. The debate will occur this fall and will be able to be viewed by a district-wide audience.

"It is imperative that as many voters as possible are able to watch the 11th District debate," Edwards said. "This debate will be televised across the district, allowing all voters to weigh the candidates' positions, and I look forward to participating."

Edwards won the Republican Primary in May and is concluding his third term in the State Senate. He will face off against his Democrat opponent in November's general election.

"I am eager to discuss the important challenges facing our district - and the nation - with my opponent and the voters at this debate," Edwards said. "The policies of the far-left have led to record inflation, crippling prices, job losses, and economic ruin for our district. I'll continue to explain to the voters why my business background, record of results, and mountain values make me the best candidate to represent them in Washington."
