Ted Budd Has to Take Down First Ad of General Election Due to Wrong Information | Eastern North Carolina Now

“A Tale of Two Carts” - Featuring the Heartbreak of Working Families Being Crushed by Bad Biden/Beasley Policies had Inaccurate Data

ENCNow
Press Release:

Advance, NC     Ted Budd for US Senate, in the interest of being transparent to the people of North Carolina, today is publicly admitting to having to take down our first ad of the general election due to the ad citing wrong information. The campaign took down the ad, corrected the information, and the ad is now back on the air.

As CBS 17 in Raleigh reported, the inflation statistics used in the ad were already outdated. Since the ad started last week, and despite the Joe Biden "Inflation Reduction Act" supported by Cheri Beasley, things have actually gotten even worse for the working families of North Carolina!

"When we produced the ad, inflation caused by Biden/Beasley policies was costing NC families an extra $7,691 a year, but things have only gotten worse thanks to Joe Biden policies Cheri Beasley fully supports," said Ted Budd. "Now, Biden/Beasley policies are costing the working families of NC even more money, $7,814. Unfortunately for the people of North Carolina, it would be more accurate to call the Biden/Beasley legislation the Inflation Acceleration Act instead."

The $7814 is the annualized cost of inflation per household in North Carolina calculated through July of 2022.
