Maybe the Campaign Funds for Cheri Beasley’s Grassroots Director Were Re-Allocated for a Deputy Director of Schedule Conflicts? | Eastern NC Now

    Cheri Beasley's Director of Scheduling Conflicts is working overtime, but her Grassroots Director hasn't shown up for work yet. Meanwhile, Ted Budd's campaign, partnering with the NCGOP and RNC, has already hit 2 million voter contacts! That's a new record for a midterm election and we've still got 53 days to go.

    Ted Budd had grassroots coalitions led by Budd Crew Chiefs in all 100 counties all the way back in October of 2021. And those grassroots coalitions have only been growing since then. While a lot of gullible reporters and political science professors mistakenly think the only metrics that matter are TV ad buys, but grassroots activations are how you win elections. Neighbors reaching neighbors.

    Our volunteers have been registering new voters and reaching out to already registered voters everywhere from local festivals to county fairs to churches to community events, just to name a few. And there's always the fun-filled weekends volunteers get out knocking on doors and making phone calls. We will continue to keep our foot on the gas until we cross the finish line on Election Day.

    Meanwhile, Team Beasley is MIA on the ground. Despite having a year to build a grassroots operation, the Beasley camp is hoping labor unions and national liberal groups can parachute out-of-state folks in and build out a year's worth of grassroots organization in the last couple of weeks of the campaign. Cheri Beasley is on her 4th statewide campaign but can't build a grassroots organization that has what it takes to win.

    And for the record: we had three (3) media outlets at our most recent door launch, two of which when we followed up with them noted that they "couldn't run the segment because the Beasley campaign wasn't doing anything to provide balance to the story."
