conservative challenges to RNC chair Ronna Romney McDaniel heat up | Eastern NC Now

two, possibly three conservative challengers enter the ring

ENCNow

Ronna Romney McDaniel, a neice of Mitt Romney, has been part of the GOP's failed "McLeadership" as Republican National Committee chair, along with McConnell and McCarthy in Congress.  This leg of the McLeadership, unlike the other two, seems likely to go down as three conservatives coming from different directions are gearing up to replace her.

Congressman Lee Zeldin, the conservative who ran a hard charging and nearly successful race for New York governor, was first out of the gate.  Then came My Pillow CEO and conservative activist Mike Lindell, who has already announced his candidacy.  The latest candidate may be the most promising, conservative California Republican National Committeewoman Harmeet Dhillon.   Dhillion is an attorney and one of her firm's clients is Donald Trump.  She is a long time conservative activist who has pushed hard for election integrity, and has been an outspoken advocate for conservative issues.  Having served on the RNC, she knows where the bodies are buried and would be in the strongest position to hit the ground running with needed changes.

Any of the three would be a huge improvement over Ronna Romney McDaniel.
