Your "reality", Bolshevik Bob is what the rest of us would call socialism or Marxism.
I went through your book list and most of the authors are people I have never heard of, but three of them stand out as being of the extreme left. First there is Huey Newton, former leader of the terrorist Black Panthers, who idolized North Korea and had a personal history of violence with deadly weapons, including shooting one police officer to death. Then there is W.E.B. duBois who at various times was a member of the US Socialist Party and US Communist Party, and ran for US Senate on the ticket of the communist-affiliated Workers Party of New York. duBois also made multiple trips to the Soviet Union, including under Stalin and returned praising communism. When duBois died, he was living in Ghana as a supporter of its pro-communist dictator Kwame Nkrumah. Last but not least is the biggest promoter of today's far left "woke" ideology, Kendi. There is not anything by Thomas Sowell or anyone like him on your list, Bobbie. It is an extremely unbalanced list ideologically, but then what does one expect from you? |
Actually VZ, that's just an excuse to make yourself feel comfortable. Treating people with dignity, respect and fairness doesnt make anyone a commie. Just a decent person.

Unfortunately reality, and your reality are divergent. The power of UTC is that it injected our shared humanity into the debate. It made it difficult for decent people to look away.
Read one book the list I posted. It costs you nothing and might allow you to reconnect with what it means to be human. |
Yeah, in the case of the cancel culture War on History far left, Chariman Mao's Little Red Book seems to be your Bible. You are trying to incite your own Cultural Revolution here in the western countries and it is just as evil as Mao's original.

Although 1984 is a great book, it's not the only book.

If Lincoln wanted to see "who made the big war" in 1862, he should have looked in a mirror. After Lincoln's election, there were special committees set up in both the House and Senate to try to negotiate a compromise between North and South before things got out of hand. A third committee was set up for the same purpose by a group of states, both north and south. There were lots of politicians on both sides who wanted to find a formula to preserve the union. In the Senate, the northern faction of the committee was headed by Senator Seward of New York, a Republican who was later Lincoln's Secretary of State and the southern faction by Senator Jefferson Davis of Mississippi. Both were willing to negotiate and wanted to find a formula to save the union. Seward felt he needed the blessing of his party's president elect, Lincoln, but Lincoln refused to engage. Seward even dispatched a New York newspaper editor named Weed, who was a personal friend of Lincoln, to Illinois to plead with Lincoln to engage with the committee, but Lincoln still refused. With Lincoln refusing to participate in any way, the northern Republican elements of these committees felt they did not have the authorizations to go forward, and the effort collapsed. All due to Lincoln. The War Between the States was, indeed, Lincoln's war.

CV - Of course you're right. The left has to cancel our history in order to impose their ideology. They concentrate on our young people, because more mature people are more grounded and harder to fool. Yes. It's what totalitarians do.
The leftist troll has demonstrated something else. While many of us are broadly well read, it is they, who claim to be diverse and inclusive, that are really very closed. They are not open to a reading list that makes them consider anything other than their ideological narrative. The DEI programs use phony, hypocritical methods to confuse and mislead people. We need to embrace our history and traditions and not contribute to tearing down our civilization like these totalitarians want so badly. |
Nobody believes that anymore..
