Former Trump White House Attorney Hammers January 6 Witness Cassidy Hutchinson | Eastern NC Now

    Former Trump White House lawyer Eric Herschmann slammed a key witness for the Democrat-led January 6 House committee, saying that some of her key claims were completely false.

    Witness Cassidy Hutchinson claimed that the first lawyer that represented her during the hearings - Stefan Passantino, a former Trump White House lawyer - was working to "protect" Herschmann during her testimony.

    "Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony about supposed conversations with Mr. Herschmann is not accurate," a spokesperson for Herschmann said. "She asked someone to contact Mr. Herschmann to see if he would speak with her. He agreed to do so. She told Mr. Herschmann that she was desperate, had no money and needed to find a lawyer. Mr. Herschmann never put her in contact with any lawyer."

    "No one discussed her testimony with Mr. Herschmann, nor did anyone ever try to confirm with him whether her testimony was accurate. The only thing he ever said to her about her testimony was to be truthful," the statement continued. "The idea that Mr. Herschmann needed or wanted any 'protection' from Cassidv Hutchinson or anyone else is ludicrous."

    Herschmann delivered a damaging blow to Hutchinson's testimony against former President Donald Trump over the summer when she claimed that she wrote a note that stated, "Anyone who entered the Capitol without proper authority should leave immediately."

    Herschmann says that he is the one that wrote the note, not Hutchinson.

    "The handwritten note that Cassidy Hutchinson testified was written by her was in fact written by Eric Herschmann on January 6, 2021," a spokesperson for Eric Herschmann told ABC News. "All sources with direct knowledge and law enforcement have and will confirm that it was written by Mr. Herschmann."

    "Anyone that has ever worked with Eric Herschmann knows that the handwriting on that note is his," political strategist Arthur Schwartz wrote on Twitter. "Cassidy lied through her teeth and Liz Cheney knew she was lying."

    Herschmann also warned Trump after the president was out of the White House that he needed to return government records that he took with him to Mar-a-Lago and that a failure to do so would leave him highly vulnerable to legal actions, including a full-blown criminal investigation, being taken against him.

  Complete overhaul of the Department of Justice and their enforcers - the FBI - to reflect a far more honest justice system to keep patriots remaining calm.

  Disband the FBI, and request that congress investigate all unethical and non patriotic practices to partially right the wrongs of a distrusted and politically weaponized "Department of Justice."

  Continue with the current system since the two tiered justice system has been so remarkably beneficial to Democratic Socialist political hegemony; chronic distrust in institutions notwithstanding.
