Of NASA, Asteroids and Way Too Much Stupid Talk | Eastern North Carolina Now

There was once a time in America when the exploits of NASA was a national ambition - Democrat, Republican - it did not matter. It was a national collective knowledge that NASA was a significant partner in discovering what was never known, and to save us from the dark forces of certain Soviet hegemony.

Now NASA is a pale shadow of its former strength, unable to even alert us when an asteroid passes within the orbit of our strategic, but aging satellites - many of which will not survive another 20 years of service.

Yes, NASA is being gutted, just like the military will be gutted, to provide additional funding for Obama's legion of low-information voters that are his base of support - those votes that must be purchased by your tax dollars to sacrifice our NASA, so they may continue to not work, to not better themselves for a future that is moving far faster than they have wisdom or desire to comprehend.

This is the Obama future: pathetic, low-brow, inspirational for the lowest of the low-information needful, Obama-phone, ObamaCare, where's the next handout people that are multiplying far faster than any of us care to imagine.

And when the next large asteroid barely misses our Earth, or not, be aware that the low-information, shiftless, lazy, unlearned people will have all that they need, and they will vote Democrat in that last American election.

    That you can count on.

These were my feelings and thoughts in a Facebook rant, of February 16th, an activity that I seldom engage in unless we are full-bore into election season, and I often cogitate how useful it is even then.

It's just that last week, ending February 17th, was such a strange week when the stupidest of the stupid went viral, and the hilarity of the inane wore off, I was left to ponder, in total disbelief, just how dysfunctional can this nation remain, when a good many in charge, and many of those pontificating about that wonderment, just aren't getting any smarter. In fact, some have devolved into an intellectual spiral directionally so far removed from a functional equilibrium that these journalists no longer pretend to have one shred of what once was fleetingly known as journalistic integrity.

Enter the MSNBC clowns, who have a fixation on all things considered important to Liberals ... by Liberals ... otherwise, it's just all too complicated.

For example, the Marco Rubio indiscreet intake of water while giving a speech on live national television, while offering the Republican rebuttal; how inappropriate of Senator Rubio.

MSNBC's Chris Matthews described the Florida Senator as "Almost like a YAF’er convention speech, Young American for Freedom speech from the 1950s. There was no originality to it. It was basic. Again it was tinker-toys. It was a kid's presentation of a philosophy, reduced to maybe the ninth grade level. I’m sorry, that’s what it was."

What's the matter Chris, no "thrill up your leg" when Senator Rubio offers a significant alternative to Candidate Obama's big government socialism solution. I also wonder just how many of your liberal brainless brethren, who exist just to support the favored Candidate above all sense of integrity, all sense of professional propriety, will be more subtle in skewering the good Republicans, not covering huge news stories like the awful Benghazi disaster, even to the point of a liberal media cover-up?

Probably most of them. Well at least no one will ever accuse liberal commentator Matthews of not speaking truthfully his oppressed, overtly thrilled sense of what is significant to the Liberal conscience as all must feel, not think, their way through life.

I don't want to take any more time to discuss Chris Matthews as the unabashed Liberal, his inadequacy as a thinking man, or those who aspire to be like him. What I want to discuss is more about those who lie to the public as a political mechanism, and those that enable them to do so.

I despise lying politicians and those that exist in their disingenuous wake - the enablers.

As a county commissioner for going on 17 years, I have seen more than my share of lying politicians, and as someone somewhat politically astute, well beyond my local position, I see very clear the miscreants: their misdoings and their undoing if ever the truth becomes paramount all around them.

Candidate Obama is chief among them. The senate majority leader, Harry Reid, the man who will not produce a budget for this nation in over 3 years, is his top henchman - you know the senator who did not have time to read ObamaCare before he had his Democrat meat puppets pass it. Remember, the man needed to get back to his "pomegranate trees" back in Nevada, and, admittedly, did not have time to understand this landmark legislation.

This is the way meat puppets operate, and for meat puppets to flourish, there is a pecking order, an ultimate hierarchy, and in Democrat America it is the Candidate, in perpetuity - Barack Hussein Obama - himself, who pulls all their strings.

That continuous thrill up the leg of the blithely honest, if not incurably vapid Chris Matthews, Obama pulls that string. The doughty Senate Majority Leader's insatiable concern over his "pomegranate trees" rather than his constitutional priority to govern, Obama pulls that string. When the former speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi, pops her eyes in the constant amazement of the constitutional insalubrity of abject liberalism, Obama pulls that string too. They are the Candidate's enablers.

They are responsible for the litany of lies that erupt from Candidate Obama's mouth during a major event, i.e. the 2013 State of the Union Address. These people, and these momentous events, afford this pathological liar great succor, providing the Candidate the opportunity to do so, undeterred, and thus enables him to lead this nation down a road to ruin. For all of you that believe this divisive, polarizing Candidate's insipid drivel, vote for him, vote for the elected idiots that keep the likes of total incompetents" Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi in leadership positions, you are culpable in this fine mess, and are not absolved by being a member of the lowest common denominator of intellect in our society. You choose this unenlightened path by choice to do so, as is your free right in this Democratic Republic, but don't think you will be celebrated for your efforts; nay, just the opposite.

The electorate has a responsibility to be knowledgeable, irrespective that most of the knowledge that Liberals possess is built upon the lies of those that lie to them on a regular basis, which leads them to show a total incompetence to comprehend basic truisms when forced to stand and face those of us who won't back down, will not shirk our responsibility to stand for that rare truth that actually runs the real world. Accordingly, for those of us with this fine stain of intellectual backbone, we will stand and witness the immutable truth of our Forefather's promise until that bitter end, or until this nation is righted by our implacable efforts so ordained to persevere.

If the numbers of those with intellectual backbone grows, we will have a fighting chance to do so. If not, it's "lights out" for America. This is the bare naked truth, because there simply comes a point when the productive people's money will run out, the economy will fold, and the Republic will be unmanageable, and, ultimately, will expire due to there simply not existing enough good, brave, intelligent Americans left to enable this nation work any longer as a cohesive governable entity.

I am optimistic, however, that this dire prediction may not be the case for there is one saving grace that I do well know: People will gravitate to the strength of absolute truth when all turns truly terrible, for there is no strength in lies and the lairs that tell them. In short, we may regain the intellectual backbone, the "right Stuff" to restart this nation on the sound footing that was our Forefathers' intent and their promise.

And while, I "hope" that there will be real "change" in America, I am also fully aware that there exists an intellectual dearth in Americans, spiritually obligated to the dole, who have surrendered their political allegiance for the continued support from the collected wealth of productive Americans. Democrats benefit from the re-election prospects of these purchased votes, by their willingness to take exorbitant sums from the job creators. Wrongly. this is a perfect prescription to shackle America's economic engine, and ultimately rewards the less productive at the expense of our children's collective future to achieve the freedom of financial independence. It is a sorry state that we leave future Americans - our children. If we do not act to stem the destructive tide of Candidate Obama's Socialism, he, and others like him, will continue selling off what is left of America's future promise for the shortsighted benefit of retaining power for himself, and the current Democrat (Socialist) Party.

French Philosopher Alexis de Tocqueville prophetically wrote newly two centuries prior, in his On Democracy in America, “The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.” Well, we are at the point "Sports Fans," and I challenge all of you to care about the inevitable consequences if will do not make a sudden turn toward the fact that this Republic will not continue if one subset of unproductive Americans are made to believe that they can exist on other people's money if they will only just continue to vote Democrat.
In the case of providing for those that will not be productive, under any circumstances, "a picture is worth a thousand words."

With so much on the line and so little time, it is imperative that we know the truth, and that truth be told.

And as probable, or improbable (no one knows the future), as to the danger of the rogue asteroid, we can at least understand it as allegory to a nation that no longer cares about all of its people - only those that vote Democrat. The reason we have government, "by the People for the People," is to take care of all of the people, not just those that Alexis de Tocqueville knew as a "public" that could be "bribed with the public's money.” If we continue to elect pathetic, intellectually incurious, lying presidents, like Candidate Obama, we will not be vigilant, and we will not prevail as a Republic. On the other hand, should we, a well diminished United States of America, still exist when the the big asteroid does come, we will be powerless to deter its path.

And just like that: BOOM! It is finished for Democrats, for Republicans, and for all that just do not care.
