Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) recently mocked President Joe Biden over a gaffe that the president made while speaking in Canada last week.

Addressing the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa, Biden thanked the Canadians for their commitment to accepting more migrants from Latin America.

"So today, I applaud China for stepping up," Biden said as the audience instantly burst out in laughter. "I applaud Canada. You can tell what I'm thinking."

"So that's addressing the Canadian Parliament. And listen, fine, so he had a slip of the tongue. Everyone does that. Biden does it a lot," Cruz said. "But I just want to point out that's the entire Parliament of Canada laughing at the President of the United States."

"Now, Canadians are many things, but fundamentally, they're polite. They are very polite," Cruz continued. "Just how bad do you have to screw up to have a roomful of Canadians laughing at you?"

    TRANSCRIPT:

SEN. TED CRUZ (R-TX): That kind of weakness means our enemies are laughing at us. But you know what's even worse? Not just our enemies, our friends are laughing at us...

JOE BIDEN, PRESIDENT: So today, I applaud China for stepping up. [laughter] I applaud Canada. You can tell what I'm thinking.

CRUZ: So that's addressing the Canadian Parliament. And listen, fine, so he had a slip of the tongue. Everyone does that. Biden does it a lot. But I just want to point out that's the entire Parliament of Canada laughing at the President of the United States. Now, Canadians are many things, but fundamentally, they're polite. They are very polite. Just how bad do you have to screw up to have a roomful of Canadians laughing at you?

BEN FERGUSON, CO-HOST: And he's saying you can tell what I'm thinking, which is what they're laughing at the cognitive part.

CRUZ: I wish the verbal slip was not actually indicative of what this White House is doing. Unfortunately, it is.
