The House Oversight Committee has reportedly issued subpoenas to several banks to get the financial records of some of the Biden family's associates.

The subpoenas come as part of Republicans' investigations into the business dealings of President Joe Biden's family and associates. Federal prosecutors are investigating Hunter Biden over his foreign business dealings in countries such as China and Ukraine, tax affairs, and more.

The committee, led by Chairman James Comer (R-KY), subpoenaed Bank of America, Cathay Bank, JPMorgan Chase, and HSBC USA N.A., Fox News reported.

The committee also reportedly subpoenaed a former business associate of Hunter Biden, Mervyn Yan, for his financial records.

Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D-MD) disclosed the subpoenas, claiming that Republicans were conducting the "probe behind a veil of secrecy runs counter to the Committee's traditional commitment to transparency and raises serious questions about the integrity of the investigation."

Comer slammed Raskin for revealing the subpoenas, telling Fox News that Raskin was effectively trying to sabotage the investigation.

"Ranking Member Raskin has again disclosed Committee's subpoenas in a cheap attempt to thwart cooperation from other witnesses. Given his antics with the first bank subpoena, the American people and media should be asking what information Ranking Member Raskin is trying to hide this time. No one should be fooled by Ranking Member Raskin's games," Comer said. "We have the bank records, and the facts are not good for the Biden family."
