Governor proclaims that "woke" has no place in education
Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has demanded and secured the resignation of Dr. Barbara Cooper as Secretary of the Department of Early Childhood Education after being alerted that Cooper was promoting a "woke" teacher training book. A spokesman for the governor said that the books were being removed from schools.
"Woke concepts have no place at any level of education in the state of Alabama and should not be taking away from the overall mission of improving educational outcomes for students, " Governor Ivey declared. The 881-page book stressed concepts of "white privelege" and "systemic racism".

In the business world, there is a saying of "get woke, go broke". It is good to see this being apllied in education to those who engage in the woke politicial indoctrination of school children. Woke political and ideological propaganda should not be imposed on school children.
