Ireland's big offshore wind energy push will give it most expensive electricity in world | Eastern North Carolina Now

North Carolina Democrats and RINOs want to follow same path

ENCNow

As more countries join the stampede to wind and solar, the race in on for the most expensive electricity in the world.  This is because wind and solar cost more than conventional power sources and are less reliable.  The very most expensive form of "green" energy is offshore wind.

For quite a number of years since Germany's Energie Wende (Energy Transition) they have been in the lead as a country in power prices in their mad rush to wind and solar, although on a more localized level the state of South Australia has had even them beat.  That again was due to Labour's mad rush to make that state "a wind and solar superpower" while blowing up all their coal plants.

Last year, the ultra progressive government of Ireland announced a massive offshore wind electricity scheme they clamed would bring down power prices, but it has turned out just the opposite.  When bids were recently opened, it rurned out that the offshore wind scheme will bring 150 euro per Megawatt hour electricity prices to Ireland, and they will beat everybody as teh highest in the world.

North Carolinans should be concerned because our leftwing govenror Roy Cooper is dead set on putting offshore wind power off of the North Carolina coast, while our RINO legislative leadership has colluded with him by passing NC's Green New Deal to claose our conventional power plants.   Where Ireland is going now, our idiot polititicians in North Carolina want to follow.

WE got royally screwed by our own "Republican" leaders in the General Assembly with HB951 and it is going to cost us big time in our pocketbooks, and that has already started with the first double digit electric rate increase caused by HB951, NC's Green New Deal. If other places that have gone down this path are any guide, those will be coming regularly from here on out until we get to Germany's level, where residential electric rates are three times what they have been in North Carolina. Thanks a whole hell of a lot, Tim Moore and Phil Berger.

In remembrance of the day that will forever seer the concept of 'evil' in our minds, let's look back at that fateful morning, exactly 11 years ago today to that series of horrific events which unfolded before our unbelieving eyes......
21 years ago, on September 10, 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift.
It was a clear beautiful, royal blue sky day on Wall Street. The S & P futures were up markedly, awaiting a positive open, as I turn to get my first cup of coffee. I return to CNBC to get the morning business news, when I notice that the S & P futures are falling, and they're falling fast.
