Seven chosen as new BCCC Ambassadors | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Seven students have been chosen by the Beaufort County Community College Foundation to represent BCCC as Ambassadors for 2013-2014. They are Kenyetta Burnette, Genesis Burgos, Llesenia Garcia, Jade Leonard, Jessa Robertson, Amy Tinker and Timmy Woolard.
    They join Patricia Daniels, chosen as an Ambassador in 2012-2013 and continuing in the post, in representing the college in the coming year.
    Genesis Burgos, of Washington, is pursuing an associate in arts degree from BCCC. She plans to earn a bachelor's degree in Romance languages and literature after completing her studies at BCCC. She is a tutor for BCCC's Writing Center.
    Kenyetta Burnette, of Washington, is also seeking an associate in arts degree from BCCC. A graduate of Washington High School, she plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in special education after graduating from BCCC.
    Llesenia Garcia, also of Washington, is a student in BCCC's Business Administration Program. She is a graduate of Washington High School. She plans to seek a master's degree in Business Administration after completing her studies at BCCC.
    Jade Leonard, of Greenville, is a student in BCCC's Associate Degree Nursing Program. She holds a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology from East Carolina University. She plans work in a local hospital and continue her nursing studies after graduating from BCCC.
    Jessa Robertson, of Washington, is pursuing an associate in arts degree from BCCC. She plans to seek a bachelor's degree after completing her studies at the community college. Robertson owns Jessa Rose Photography.
    Amy Tinker, of Belhaven, is a student in BCCC's Associate in General Education Program and plans to pursue a nursing degree from the community college. She is certified as an Emergency Medical Technician and holds a degree in cosmetology. She plans to work in a specialized nursing field after graduating from BCCC.
