DOJ violated its own internal policies in sweetheart deal for Hunter Biden | Eastern NC Now

former federal prosecutor calls out corrupt Merrick Garland DOJ

ENCNow

The sweetheart deal granted Hunter Biden on a string of felonies violated longstanding internal DOJ policies, allowing him to plead to two misdemeanors, defer one felony, and get probation.  A former federal prosecutor who was US Attorney for Utah is calling them out on it.  He pointed out that normally people charged with what Hunter did with a similar record received long prison sentences, but Hunter Biden got probation, a slap on the wrist.

One example is that black rapper Kodak Black got a three year active prison sentence for the gun charge that Hunter Biden had deferred, and he faced the court with a similar record to Hunter Biden.

How many people not named Biden would have walked away from not paying income tax on over $8 million in income?  The DOJ is thoroughly corrupt and needs to have its entire staff fired and replaced by honest people.

Other legal experts have made the same point.

This is in contrast to the unprecedented charges brought against President Donald Trump for things Democrat politicians have done and not been prosecuted for.

Clearly, a rogue DOJ and FBI are taking politics into account in a big way on how they handle matters.  There desperately needs to be a thorough housecleaning at both agencies.  The rule of law is on life support in America today as our legal system is filled with political favoritism and corruption.
