Mr. Dallas was born in Blounts Creek, in Beaufort County on March 27, 1937, to the late Dean Wilber Toler and the late Reba Paramore Toler. He attended Aurora High School. On November 15, 1957, he married the former Faye O'Ham, who preceded him in death on March 2, 2022, after sixty-five years of marriage. He retired from PCS Phosphate Co. in Aurora as a Specialist but continued to work in the electrical and HVAC field as the owner and operator of Toler's Electric. Mr. Dallas had a servant's heart. Mr. Dallas was inspired with 3 others in the community to form the Blounts Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad and was the last living founding member. His willingness to help others did not stop with the Fire and Rescue but extended far beyond just the Blounts Creek Community. He loved his Lord and Savior. He served as a Trustee and Deacon for Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church. At Smyrna he oversaw all maintenance work and ran their audio/video equipment. He was a "jack of all trades" and will be dearly missed in the community. He was a member of Coastal Plains Car Club.

Surviving include his children: Selena T. Hodges and husband Terry, Dean W. Toler and wife Cathy, all of Blounts Creek; a sister Sandra Mayo and husband Sam, of Blounts Creek; a brother Gary Toler and wife Dorothy of Chocowinity; his grandchildren: Carla Viegra and husband Brian of Blounts Creek; Jonathan "Brent" Hodges and wife Samantha of Blounts Creek; Tyler W. Toler and fiancée Kiley of Washington; great grandchildren: MacKenzie Viegra, Willow Viegra, Caden Hodges and Logan Hodges of Blounts Creek. Mr. Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Glenn "Bill" Toler, and Joseph "Joe" Toler; two sisters: Fray T. Sheler and Sylvia T. Lewis.

Flowers are welcome and the family kindly ask that memorial contributions be made to Coastal Plains Car Club c/o Bob McAdam - 1512 Saddle Way Greenville, NC 27858, and Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church - PO Box 77 Blounts Creek, NC 27814 and Blounts Creek Volunteer Fire Department - PO Box 5, Blounts Creek, NC 27814 (Building and Equipment funds)
