Tucker Carlson: Trump Should Have Gone To GOP Primary Debate, He And Biden Too Old To Be President | Eastern North Carolina Now

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson indicated this week that he believes former President Donald Trump should have participated in the first Republican Party presidential debate and that both Trump and President Joe Biden are too old to be president.

Carlson made the remarks during an interview with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy this week.

"I thought Trump should have done, I thought he should've done the debate," Portnoy said.

    "Yeah," Carlson agreed.

"For the betterment of the country, I think he should be on the debate stage," Portnoy added.

"I kind of agree," Carlson responded. "I like the debates, personally."

Carlson then took an apparent shot at his former employer, saying that the problem with the organizations that host the debates is that they are "rotten and corrupt."

Portnoy later added that he believes there has been "a shift where, internally, maybe the Democrats don't think [Biden] can win and they're setting the stage to do somebody else."

"To be honest, I think both Trump and Biden are too old," he continued. "I don't think you should be able to be that old to be president."

Carlson interrupted to say, "I agree 100%."

Trump is 77, Biden is 80.

The interview comes after Carlson interviewed Trump and aired the footage during the debate last week.

I have to agree with Tucker: Mr. Trump should have been at that first debate, and in full honesty both Tucker and I would be wrong. Furthermore, both of us would have been wise not to second guess Mr. Trump on the running for presidential office.

On Mr. Trump being too old, I would have to break with Tucker on that one. There is no Constitutional "old age" limit, and Mr. Trump is plenty smart, probably far wiser than 8 years ago even.

Joe Biden is not too old to be president as well, he is just too incredibly stupid, and always has been. Those that voted for this inveterate lying, corrupt fool should have known that he was a bona fide idiot long before the 2020 election.
