War on History: Southerners unwelcome at National Cathedral in DC

Southerners are now unwelcome at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC which has gone "woke" embraced cancel culture, and joined the War on History to insult the South. Stained glass windows honoring Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson were removed and replaced with windows showing a bunch of protesters. What utter rubbish. If they wanted to honor protesters, they could have found other windows to use to do it. Those running the National Cathedral are rabidly anti-South and therefore should be compelled to take the word "national" out of their name. Maybe it should be replaced with "Progressive" or "Marxist" or "Woke".

Robert E. Lee freed hundreds of slaves he inherited from his father-in-law and wrote in 1859 that "slavery is an institution of moral and political evil." Stonewall Jackson never owned slaves, but founded through his church and personally taught a program to teach black people to read and write. After joining the army, Jackson send a part of every military paycheck home to keep that program running. That was probably the first black literacy program in the South.

Whatr the National Cathedral has done is shameful.

The so-called National Cathedral has gone full Mao Tse-Tung in following the diktat of his Cultural Revolution to destroy history. The question is which nation it is the "national cathedral" of? Red China, it would seem. And what religion? Church of Satan maybe?

CT: I saw where those windows were removed in late February, 2022, when I toured the cathedral with a docent. The docent was rather stiff and rather DEI, and since I was with my daughter's young family, I minded my manners.

I did, however, confer with another tourist, who did agree with me, how wrong this was. In hindsight, it was not only wrong, but incredibly stupid to opt into this mind numbingly ignorant method of reconciling our past.

Speaking of Thomas Jackson, if the great general had not been killed at Chancellorsville by friendly fire, I am almost certain the War of Northern Aggression might have gone much differently.

Those stained glass windows that the politically corrupt National Cathedral removed don't even have anything to do with the Confederate States. Lee is portrayed in US Army uniform in the Mexican War. Jackson is portrayed teaching students as a professor at VMI. It is outrageous the attacks that the far left is making on our history. The National Cathedral is beneath contempt for removing them.
