New Congressional redistricting maps out | Eastern NC Now

our Congressional district moves westward, loses Onslow and Currituck

ENCNow

The new Congressional District maps, drawn by the legislature after the NC Supreme Court threw out the maps drawn by Democrat activists posing as "assistant special masters" and imposed by a previous court.

Our congressional district remains mostly imtact, but loses a big coastal county, Onslow as well as another coastal county, Currituck, and those are replaced by Sampson and much of Cumberland County, moving westward.

As expected, sleazy ultra-RINO House Speaker Tim Moore drew a Congressional district for himself.

The new Senate map is also out, and our Senate district remains the same. I heard a rumor about Perry running for Congress now that Lenoir County has been shifted to the 1st Congressional district, but I am not sure of the source of that rumor's knowledge.

The next step, as always happens is the Democrats will sue. They are now fresh out of luck in the state courts, so it will be in federal court. Hopefully the legislature's attorneys have covered all the bases from the most recent SCOTUS redistricting case out of Alabama, so that should also fail to get anywhere. But the Democrats will still make a show of it, and will probably judge shop to find an Obama judge who will stop the process at least for a while with a temporary restraining order. Hopefully, there expected song and dance can be disposed of quickly.

Progressive RINO sleazebag Tim Moore needs to be taken down in a primary. How arrogant to draw a district for himself. We have too many of his treacherour and lecherous ilk in the DC swmap already.
