New House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said he is "encouraging" congressional investigations into President Joe Biden to continue.

During a Sunday interview on Fox News, host Maria Bartiromo asked Johnson if he would dedicate "financial resources and human capital" for an "in-depth" probe. She also asked if the overarching impeachment inquiry into allegations of corruption, launched before Johnson became speaker, would become an "official" impeachment.

"We'll see, Maria. You know, I worked on the committees of jurisdiction. And Judiciary is one of those," Johnson said during his "Sunday Morning Futures" appearance less than a week after being elected speaker by his peers.

"I think our chairmen have done an exceptional job. You have spoken to all of them, Jamie [James] Comer and Jim Jordan and Jason Smith, on Oversight and Judiciary and Ways and Means. They continued those investigations even while we were going through the tumult of the speaker's race. They were still working methodically through that. I'm encouraging that," he added.

"I think we have a constitutional responsibility to follow this truth where it leads. We're the rule of law team. We don't use this for political, partisan games, like the Democrats have done and did against [former] Donald Trump twice," Johnson said.

"We are going to follow the law and follow the Constitution," the speaker said. "And I think we - you and I have a suspicion of where that may lead. But we're going to let the evidence speak for itself. And I look forward to rolling that out over the coming days and weeks and letting the American people see exactly why we're taking the next steps and where it's headed."

Johnson's predecessor, now-former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), announced an impeachment inquiry into Biden in mid-September. Biden, who is running for a second term in the White House, and his allies have denied that he committed any wrongdoing and claimed that Republicans are trying to serve up "red meat" for the base.

Bartiromo also pressed Johnson on whether he expected to subpoena Hunter Biden, the son of the president whose business dealings have attracted scrutiny and is separately facing a criminal inquiry run by the Department of Justice.

"I'm looking at that," Johnson said. "I think that desperate times call for desperate measures, and that perhaps is overdue. We have not made a full decision yet. I'm counseling with the attorneys involved on all of this to see what the contours of - I'm an attorney myself, so I speak the language. We're trying to move forward on some of this very aggressively."

He continued, "I think the American people are owed these answers. And I think our suspicions about all this, the evidence that we have gathered so far, as you know, is affirming what many of us feared may be the worst. And, as Jamie Comer likes to say, bank records don't lie. We already have a lot of this evidence. The dots are being connected. And we will see where it leads."

After nearly 8 months of the United States House of Representatives' Oversight Committee hearings, House Speaker Mike Johnson is pursuing an Impeachment Inquiry into the strong allegations of Bribery, Influence Peddling, Money laundering and possible Treason regarding the Biden Family Shell Corporations' business dealings with foreign nations that are adversarial to our survival: Is it prudent and wise for the Republican controlled U.S. House to investigate this Democratic Socialist President?
No, Democratics should never be investigated because they are so superior to their Republican counterparts, and care so much more.
Yes, in a Constitutional Republic, bound by the Rule of Law, no one is above the law, and that law must be applied evenly.
Not sure ... Now, what got all this started?

Considering that the 2024 Presidential Election has fully begun, and the Biden Administration has consequently fully weaponized the Biden DOJ /FBI to attack all political opponents under the penalty of felonious judgement for many of the same alleged crimes, or worse, committed by Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden himself: Are you comfortable with this level of overt corruption within the Executive Branch?
Yes; if Democratic Socialists are to complete the remaking of this "Democracy," the End will Always Justify the Means.
No; in a Constitutional Republic, the Rule of Law is paramount, which means the law MUST be administered evenly
Who cares; I am just so ambivalent to all this grown-up stuff.

In light of continued developments, primarily since 2008, there exists in these United States a Legal System which operates on a proved Two Tiered approach to justice rendered, which primarily benefits Democratic Elites and Woke Ideological Virtue Signalers, representing their co-dependent wards, to the expressed exclusion of normal hardworking American citizens: What is your suggestion in remedying this widespread injustice and, if not corrected, its existential outcome for our Constitutional Republic?
Complete overhaul of the Department of Justice and their enforcers - the FBI - to reflect a far more honest justice system to keep patriots remaining calm.
Disband the FBI, and request that congress investigate all unethical and non patriotic practices to partially right the wrongs of a distrusted and politically weaponized "Department of Justice."
Continue with the current system since the two tiered justice system has been so remarkably beneficial to Democratic Socialist political hegemony; chronic distrust in institutions notwithstanding.
