Israel Releases Footage Of Hamas’ Terrorist Tunnels Under Al Shifa Hospital | Eastern NC Now

    The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released new footage from deep inside the tunnels that Hamas terrorists dug under Al Shifa Hospital complex in an attempt to avoid being targeted in airstrikes, which is a war crime.

    Footage released by the IDF showed soldiers walking through hundreds of feet of the tunnel underneath the Hospital.

    "Behind the breached blast door, soldiers discovered an air-conditioned hideout room and a bathroom," the IDF said. "The soldiers of the 7th Brigade also located two additional tunnel shafts near the hospital: one on a nearby street and the other in a nearby house. The findings unequivocally display Hamas' deliberate method of operating underneath hospitals. The terrorist organization also exploits the hospital buildings, using them to store weapons in and as terrorist headquarters."

    The IDF posted from their English account a video that started by showing the tunnel from a drone hovering above the hospital and then quickly descended to video captured at ground level and then from inside the tunnel.

    As a temporary ceasefire gets ready to go into effect, the IDF said that it has already destroyed some 400 terror tunnel shafts in the Gaza Strip during the few weeks it's been operating there.

    "The Yahalom special forces unit of the Combat Engineering Corps has played a significant role in uncovering and destroying these shafts using various methods," the IDF said.
