Some of the biggest stars in television were honored at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards Monday night. The show was delayed from September, which was too close to the end of the actors and writers strikes from the summer and early fall.

There were several viral moments, including multiple impromptu kisses between stars.

First, actress Christina Applegate made a surprise appearance on stage after being vocal about her battle with multiple sclerosis. "Thank you so much. Oh my God, you're totally shaming me with disability by standing up. It's fine," she joked. "Body not by Ozempic."

Actor Pedro Pascal, who was nominated for an Emmy for his role in the post-apocalyptic drama series "The Last of Us," appeared with a sling on his arm and explained his injury by joking that "Succession" star Kieran Culkin hurt him.

"A lot of people have been asking about my arm; it's actually my shoulder," Pascal said. "And I think tonight is a perfect time to tell everyone that Kieran Culkin beat the s*** out of me."

The joke referenced a dig Culkin made during the Golden Globes earlier this month, when the actor said, "S*** it, Pedro," after winning Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series and beating out Pascal, who was also up for the award.

There was also a lot of kissing during the Emmys.

Matty Matheson, a real-life chef and executive producer and actor in "The Bear," gave a long kiss on the lips to series co-star Ebon Moss-Bachrach after the show won the Outstanding Comedy Series Award.

Culkin interrupted his "Succession" co-star J. Smith-Cameron's red carpet interview with a kiss, too.

The late actor Matthew Perry got a special tribute during the In Memoriam segment. Musician Charlie Puth performed the song "I'll See You Again," which was originally written as a tribute to "The Fast and the Furious" actor Paul Walker following his death in 2013.

Singer Elton John achieved the coveted EGOT status at this year's Emmys with his win for the Disney+ special "Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium." An EGOT winner has won at least once in every major award ceremony, as the acronym stands for Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, and Tonys.

"The Bear" and "Beef" came out on top at this year's Emmy Awards, with those two shows winning more than any other show this year.
