Top Republicans fired back at the White House this week after the Biden administration threatened that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would deport fewer illegal aliens if Republicans did not pass the Senate's controversial border bill.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed to reporters on Wednesday that congressional Republicans were "choosing partisan politics over our national security" because they do not support the bill that many experts and critics say will make President Joe Biden's illegal immigration crisis even worse.

"Here is what that means: ICE would be forced to reduce its removal operations, its total detention capacity, and more," she said. "When ICE can't conduct these operations, our national security and public safety will be harmed."

Jean-Pierre's attempt to shift blame for the administration's border crisis onto Republicans comes as numerous recent polls have shown that the crisis is the top issue for many voters, and the overwhelming majority of Americans blame Biden for it.

Republican senators and House members responded to Jean-Pierre's remarks on social media by saying they amounted to extortion by the Biden administration.

"And yet, in 2022, when I sought to provide more $ to deport CRIMINAL illegal aliens, every single Democrat voted against it," said Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN). "Don't believe this blame-shifting nonsense."

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) responded: "Is Biden the President or a mobster? Attempting to shake down Republicans for a bad immigration bill won't secure our southern border. It shows Biden can fix the problem that he created."

"This is called extortion," said Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT).

"This is blackmail," Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) posted on X. "And an admission that Biden controls the level of illegal immigration. The entire border crisis is by design."

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) responded: "The White House is threatening the American people."

"They've already abandoned the field - but this is why we should not fund DHS until we force the border security that is necessary," said Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX).

Rep. Austin Pfluger (R-TX) responded: "President Biden has now resorted to threatening the American people with an even worse border crisis. The President already has the tools and authority he needs to close the border. This crisis is intentional."

"Proof that Biden was NEVER serious about actually securing the border," added Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL). "It's all a game for the White House to score political points."

Under the cover of Covid, and now in the shadow of the infamous Election Irregularities of that fated 2020 presidential election, with current emerging alleged election fraud in Nevada and Pennsylvania inconveniently slipping into the public discourse, there is proved a colluded ongoing Election Interference in the nomination of the Republican candidate, the likes of which has never occurred in our Constitutional Republic's history, albeit, the question remains: Do you support the plain-sight Election Interference of the Democratic Socialist party, employing its minions in their Propagandistic Media, and their Two Tiered Justice System?
No, I do not support Election Interference; I am a patriot unto our Constitution.
Yes, I do support Election Interference; the alternative, Donald Trump, to this mentally diminished president is far worse.

Understanding that there are two firm positions concerning the Open Border Crises, but many realties regarding its current, and, or projected real impacts to the functioning, sustainability of this Constitutional Republic: What position below best represents what you know to be true regarding this impactful policy?
The United States' must continue the Executive initiative of Open Borders until a Democratic Congress can codify full Demographic Inclusion by keeping the Biden /Harris Open Borders policy in place.
Our United States' borders are sovereign just as are our self-governed citizens, where borders must be maintained, monitored and defended, which is the position of core Republicans.
I am in favor of Open Borders to make my America more of a global community; however, the federal government must now fix problems that "Red State" governors have caused in our cities.
I do NOT favor the Democratic Socialists' disruption of the cultural fabric of my Representative Republic, and there will be Treasonous Hell to Pay when the certain calamity begins in earnest.

Should the Institutionalized Corruption of the Biden /Harris Administration, in this separate instance the Open Border Policy of our Sovereign Southern Border, be not only tolerated, but sanctioned by the raising of local spending by local politicians to pay for these now visible and known effects of rampant, and out-of-control Illegal Immigration?
Yes, it is a kind thing to do, and a way that our county, our state can aid in this tremendous effort toward local federal foreign aid; and now, thankfully, in great abundance.
No, our Constitutional Republic WILL NOT continue to exist, as our United States of America, if we do not control our sovereign borders, to protect our citizens, to keep them solvent and safe.
I only consider what is topical and popular since my friends, too, only care to do the same.
