As a result of the search Investigators seized 6 grams of crack-cocaine, crack-cocaine manufacturing material digitals scales and $720.00 in US currency from the residence. Investigators also seized a quantity of marijuana prepackaged for resale from one of the vehicles at the residence.

    On July 10, 2013, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Kevin Antwan Greene, age 33, of 180 Running Pines Road in Chocowinity, Jesse Lee Jones Jr., age 33, of 649 Moores Lane in Grimesland, Reba Goldie Whitfield, age 51, of 449 Magnolia School Rd. in Washington and Amy Sullivan Brickhouse, age 29 of 449 Magnolia School Rd. in Washington. Their arrests stemmed from Investigators executing a search warrant at Greene’s residence on Running Pines Road. Investigators conducted several controlled purchases of crack-cocaine from Greene. During the controlled purchases Greene employed a juvenile under the age of 15 to facilitate the transactions.

    Investigators conducted surveillance of Greene’s residence and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the residence being driven by Amy Brickhouse with her mother Reba Whitfield as a passenger. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of cocaine, 6 dosage units of Hydrocodone (Schedule III Controlled Substance) and a snorting straw.

    Investigators also secured Greene’s residence and deployed K-9 Elza. K-9 Elza alerted on several areas in the home as well as on vehicles located at the residence. As a result of the search Investigators seized 6 grams of crack-cocaine, crack-cocaine manufacturing material digitals scales and $720.00 in US currency from the residence. Investigators also seized a quantity of marijuana prepackaged for resale from one of the vehicles at the residence.

    Kevin Antwan Greene was arrested and charged with three counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, two counts of Employ or Hire a Minor to Commit a Controlled Substance Violation, Manufacture Cocaine, Maintaining a Dwelling to Facilitate Drug Activity, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jesse Lee Jones Jr. was arrested for two Orders for Arrest for two counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana out of Pitt County. Reba Whitifield was charged with Simple Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Amy Brickhouse was charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

    Kevin Greene was confined under a 62,500 secured bond. Jesse Jones was confined under a $65,000 secured bond. Brickhouse and Whitfield were released under a $5,000 unsecured bond.

Latest Combat Crime

On Monday, April 13, 2026, the Beaufort County Grand Jury returned a True Bill of Indictment against 24-year-old Brady O’Neil Daniels of Wallace, NC, charging him with the murder of Billy Joe Bell in 2023.
On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call in a wooded area near Pamlico Plantation in Washington NC.
In the past month, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Patrol and K9 Division have arrested 10 people in the county on felony drug charges.
On December 12, 2025, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested 27-year-old Nikkopenia Terra Echevarria of Washington, NC on multiple felony drug charges.
Beaufort County District Attorney Thomas D. Anglim disclosed that Ryan Austin Stalls was convicted of two counts attempted murder and one count of attempted first degree ex offense and first-degree kidnapping following a guilty plea in Beaufort County on December 9, 2025.
On December 22, 2025, Deputies from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Aurora/Richlands area for a report of a foul odor coming from inside a rental property where a tenant had previously moved out.

On December 5, 2025, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested 39-year-old, Arnold Gerard Whitney of Belhaven, NC on multiple drug and weapon charges.
On Tuesday December 9th, 2025, 33-year-old Ryan Austin Stalls pled guilty in Beaufort County Superior Court to the following charges:
Today I officially filed for re-election, seeking to continue my service to the citizens of Beaufort County.
On January 27, 2025 Washington Police Department officers and Washington Fire/Rescue personnel responded to the area of Bonner Street and E. Martin Luther King Jr. Street in reference to a report of a motor vehicle crash.
During the past month, members from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit, Patrol Division and K9 Unit have charged seven people in the county on felony drug charges.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office needs your help locating a wanted person. On October 27, 2025, 40-year-old Givon Montrell Hodges of Washington, NC left Superior Court in Beaufort County and failed to return.
