Slovakia and Italy express disgust
The Paris Olympics opening ceremony, which was weird and "woke" and according to some religious leaders also satanic, caused a big uproar among normal people. Several sponsors quit the Olympics and pulled their funding. Among nations, Slovakia discovered that the closing ceremony was going to be just as woke and weird, and its populist government announced it would not participate.
Now comes the disgusting beatdown of an Italian woman boxer by a biological male allowed to compete as a "woman", and Italy's populist prime minister Giorgia Meloni is furious at the Olympic committee allowing him and another biological male to compete as "women". Both had previously attempted to compete in womens boxing in an international match held in India, and the governing board of the boxing sport has disqualified them because tests showed they had both X and Y chromosomes meaning they were biologically male. The woke and weird Olympic committee only looked at their passports which said "female'.
The Italian woman boxer said she quit the match 'to save my life". Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss asked "when will this madness stop?"

That is not the only "woke" aspect of the Paris Olympics. Many athletes have ditched the "climate friendly" Olympic village to stay in hotels instead. The lack of air conditioning when temperatures are in the mid 90s was insane, as was making 60% of the food offered Vegan, which did not include th protein needed by athletes. Having only one restroom for ten athletes was also inadequate.
All the weirdness and wokeness has turned off the public. There are lots of empty seats despite bargain basement ticket prices, and many hotels are far from full. Indeed airlines have cut tickets prices to Paris from elsewhere in Europe, some going for less that twenty dollars.
The Olympics is another fine old institution being destroyed by wokeness.

No wonder Chicken Little is the patron saint of climate communism. You have just pointed out a critical fact, that CO2 has nothing to do with causing our long term climate cycles, even though pointing it out was not intentional on your part.

There is no way to compare the amount of fossil fuel burned during the industrial age to any other time period.

Before oil, it was coal and firewood. In the last multi-century warm cycle, the Medieval Warm Period, there was NO oil being combusted. Ditto the warm cycle before that during the Roman Empire. Or how about the granddaddy of all warm cycles, the Holocene Maximum when it was much warmer than today for 3,000 years. None of those produced the dire consequences of the Chicken Little scare stories of the climate communists.

I don't think you will find any of those governments denying that water vapor is by far the most important greenhouse gas or that it is controlled by solar radiation. What you will find is overhyping the significance of CO2, someting they do because that is part of the globalist mantra.
In recent European elections, parties that diagree with climate alarmism did very well while the Green Party, the one most involved in pushing climate communism got clobbered. Former Czech President and Prime Minister Vaclav Klaus has described climate alarmism as "a budding totalitarian ideology that is the greatest threat to freedom, democracy, and prosperity in the world today."
