The State Department issued a rare "Worldwide Caution" alert on Sunday amid concerns about a heightened risk of terror attacks by Iranian sleeper cells.

A White House official told The Daily Wire they are staying vigilant and that the Trump administration will use all resources available to protect both the United States and its assets abroad.

A bulletin from the Department of Homeland Security's National Terrorism Advisory System on Sunday warned that the "ongoing Iran conflict is causing a heightened threat environment in the United States." The alert issued on Sunday warns American citizens overseas to "exercise increased caution," adding that there is "potential for demonstrations against U.S. citizens and interests abroad."

According to NBC, Iran sent a message to Trump through an intermediary at the G7 summit in Canada last week, warning that it could activate sleeper cell terror if he attacked. Trump left the summit early to return to the White House to consider his options amid the escalation between Israel and Iran at the time.

The Department of Homeland Security cited Iran's history of launching cyberattacks and targeting United States government officials. It added that there is a possibility of terrorists within the United States mobilizing as part of a response to Trump's Sunday night strike on Iranian nuclear facilities.

"The likelihood of violent extremists in the Homeland independently mobilizing to violence in response to the conflict would likely increase if Iranian leadership issued a religious ruling calling for retaliatory violence against targets in the Homeland," it said. "Multiple recent Homeland terrorist attacks have been motivated by anti-Semitic or anti-Israel sentiment, and the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict could contribute to U.S.-based individuals plotting additional attacks."

It adds that the conflict could motivate "violent extremists and hate crime perpetrators" to attack targets that are Jewish, pro-Israel, or linked to the United States government or military.

The bulletin expires on September 22.

White House Border Czar Tom Homan said there is a risk posed by the 1,272 Iranian nationals who illegally crossed the border during the Biden administration.

"Over 2 million people crossed that border, we don't know who they are, where they came from, because they got away, because Border Patrol is so overwhelmed with the humanitarian crisis that Biden created that over 2 million people crossed the border and got away," Homan told Fox News's Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures."

"That is my biggest concern," he added. "And that's what created the biggest national security vulnerability this country's ever seen."

Following the attack on the Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan Iranian nuclear sites, Trump warned that "any retaliation by Iran against the United States of America will be met with force far greater than what was witnessed tonight."

On Sunday, Trump commented on the possibility of regime change in Iran.

"It's not politically correct to use the term, 'Regime Change,' but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn't there be a Regime change??? MIGA!!!" he posted.

Regarding the recent Israel /Iran Conflict (the "12 Day War"), culminating in the United States Air Force employing seven B2 Bombers to complete a 33 hour flight, dropping 14 fifteen ton bunker busting bombs on three Iranian nuclear facilities buried deep under mountain rock, which destroyed Iran's nuclear ambitions against Israel and the United States: Should President Trump have unilaterally made the decision to make such a bold decision to conduct this operation, without first running this prospective operation before the US Congress for their approval?
No, The War Powers Act prohibitions, which requires NO presidential military action without congressional approval.
Yes, the President has Article 2 Constitutional authority to take unilateral military action to protect the American People, providing he does not break congressional codes, which he did not.

Now that President Trump is picking his cabinet and immediate staff to insulate him from the poor judgement of the Bureaucratic Class, while moving quickly to transition this Constitutional Republic unto a wise and sustainable direction: What is your immediate impression as to how our nation will prosper?
We are headed toward a Golden Age in America's self-governed society.
This will all wind up in a clustered mess since Trump is a Fascist, and thought to be the second coming of Adolf Hitler by our best journalists.
This is a time where critical days lay ahead, where only wise and responsible decisions must be made to sustain US.
I generally do not pay attention, but expect only the best to occur ... and that is what I always expect.
