    Cindy Lou Alligood Williams, age 67, a resident of Washington, NC died Friday August 1, 2025 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

    A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday August 5, 2025 at Beaver Dam Church of Christ and will be officiated by Tony Krantz and Andy Edge. Burial will follow in Alligood Family Cemetery, 648 Mill Hole Road, Washington.

    The family will receive friends Monday August 4, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.

    Andrew Harold Ray Scott, Jacob Coy Scott, Charlie Oden Alligood, Alan Lane Alligood, William David Leudesdorf, Jr, and Dennis Ray Williams, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.

    Mason Cole Edge, Samuel Allen Alligood, Emmett Williams, Horace L. Waters, and Allen D. Walker will serve as honorary pallbearers.

    Cindy was born in Beaufort County on March 20, 1958 to Coy Ellsworth and Beulah Faye Woolard. She attended Bath High School. Cindy worked for Stanadyne Automotive Corporation until retirement, and helped run her family business Pamlico Custom Countertops. She was an active member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ while her health permitted. Cindy enjoyed her church, cooking, shopping, singing, karaoke, yardwork, flowers and spending time with her family, especially her mother, grandchildren and great grandchild.

    Survivors include her husband Dennis Ray Williams of the home, a daughter, Tonya Alligood Scott and partner, William David Leudesdorf, Jr. of Greenville, a daughter, Nickie Alligood Edge and husband Andy of Jamesville, a stepson, Dennis Ray Williams, Jr. and wife Jaclyn of Lincolnton, a son, John Worthy Alligood and wife Casey of Washington, eleven grandchildren, Andrew Harold Ray Scott and wife Brooke, Jacob Coy Scott, Anna LaVee Scott, Reagan Riley Edge, Mason Cole Edge, Emma Gene Alligood, Samuel Allen Alligood, Josie Lynn Alligood, Alexandria Williams, Emmett Williams, Madison Williams, one great grandchild, Ava Grace Scott, her Mother, Beaulah Faye (Snooks) Woolard, three sisters, Sharon Faye Cutler, Ernestine Woolard, Daisy Lane Woolard, her in laws, Alan L. Alligood and wife Cindy Rae, Charlie O. Alligood, Teresa A. Freeman, Derise A. Regal, Kathy A. Lilley, a host of loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and a loving fur companion, Rambo.

    She is preceded in death by her first husband Kermit Gene Alligood, her father, Coy E. Woolard, and her in-laws Warren "Bully" Freeman, Coy Hoover and Annie Lillian Alligood.
